PREPARING WITH PEACE: A Faith-Based and Practical Guide to Life Planning After Diagnosis
When facing mortality becomes reality, faith meets the practical in this essential guide for believers navigating life's final chapter.
A Pastor's Honest Wisdom for Life's Hardest Conversations
Drawing from over 35 years of pastoral ministry and countless bedside vigils, Dr. Bobby Bressman offers something most end-of-life planning books miss: the perfect blend of deep faith and practical wisdom. This isn't another clinical guide filled with legal jargon—it's a compassionate roadmap written by someone who has walked through the valley with hundreds of families.
What You'll Discover:
- Real Stories, Real Hope: Meet Maria, who transformed her fear of dying into a celebration of God's faithfulness, and Sarah, who found peace by getting organized while trusting God's timing
- Faith-Centered Medical Planning: Navigate healthcare decisions, living wills, and end-of-life care through a biblical lens that honors both God's sovereignty and human responsibility
- Beyond Money—True Legacy: Create ethical wills, preserve family faith stories, and build spiritual inheritance that lasts for generations
- Complex Family Realities: Practical guidance for blended families, estranged relationships, and situations that don't fit the "perfect Christian family" mold
- Digital Age Planning: Handle everything from cryptocurrency to social media memorials in our connected world
Part I: Faith Foundation - Addresses the spiritual and emotional work of facing mortality with hope, building supportive community, and understanding death as transition rather than termination.
Part II: Practical Tools - Complete with worksheets, templates, and step-by-step guidance for healthcare directives, financial organization, funeral planning, and family conversations.
Who This Book Serves:
- Anyone facing serious illness who wants to plan with both faith and wisdom
- Family members caring for aging or seriously ill loved ones
- Church leaders seeking resources for pastoral care
- Healthcare professionals working with faith-based families
- Anyone who believes planning ahead is an act of love, not defeat
"I've stopped trying to understand God's plan and started trusting God's heart." - Maria, whose story opens this transformative guide
Dr. Bressman doesn't promise easy answers, but he offers something better: the assurance that faithful planning honors God while serving those we love most. This book transforms the overwhelming task of end-of-life planning into manageable, meaningful steps that reflect Christian values and provide genuine peace.
You don't have to walk this path alone. Let an experienced pastor guide you through decisions that matter, conversations that heal, and planning that becomes an expression of faith itself.
Perfect for individual study, family discussions, or church group resources.
