As an emissary of Sheikh Abdullah, he spread the political and social miseries of the common man of Kashmir while stationed in Lahore and Delhi. Marrying a Kashmiri Pandit girl from Sita Ram Bazaar he settled in Delhi, where his writing skills and literary interests took him to All India Radio. A firm believer in spirituality and the Rishi tradition of his Kashmir he kept his roots intact by maintaining close contacts with Gurdev Nandbab Mastana, Master Zinda Kaul, Mir Ghulam Rasool Nazki, Dina Nath Nadim, Mohinder Kaul of BBC. Shamim Ahmad Shamim, D.P. Dhar, artist Som Nath Khosa, and more. He always remained in the good books of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, and Lal Bahadur Shastri maintaining a bridge between Kashmir and the rest of India with his untiring efforts. His contribution as an Urdu writer of eminence in the subcontinent is second to none. His short stories are a part of the prescribed curriculum for post-graduation studies in many universities. As head of the high-powered committee of All India Radio, New Delhi he designed suitable programs for Radio Kashmir, Srinagar to silence targeted propaganda attacks from Radio Pakistan. His last assignment was as the Media Advisor to the Government of Jammu and Kashmir. The book contains many interesting anecdotes about the man and his nationalistic mission in Kashmir.
