Toning and light soiling to text block edges. Toning/foxing to endpapers; personal bookplate of Francis McIlhenny Stifler on front pastedown noting that book was received as "payment for some articles for POLO magazine" and acquired in December 1935 (an artistically clever bookplate design with a rider atop a book-shaped horse jumping a three-rail fence with the rails being a pen and two pencils and right and left posts each supported by a pair of typewriters); ink telephone number at ffep center; a few spots of soiling to interior pages which otherwise remain clean.
