[13], 299, [2 (blank)] pp. Intratextual illustrations. 9-3/4" 6-1/2" Signed by "J. R. Knowland" -- Joseph Russell Knowland, the California politician and owner, editor and publisher of the Oakland Tribune -- and dated 1937. Minor shelfwear to spine and boards. Small bump to spine above title label. Front pastedown cracking, but solid. Previous owner's signature to FFEP. Withal, a VG+ copy. Salmon cloth binding with title label pasted to spine. Gilt printed lettering to title label 1st revised and extended edition. One of 600 copies printed in July 1937.
