- Book 3 of 4: PLAB 2 Master Series
Sixteen chapters cover systematic clinical examinations, bedside and ward procedures, ECG, ABG, chest X-ray and blood test interpretation, prescribing safety and clinical reasoning under pressure — each built the same way, so you always know where to look.
Every chapter gives you:
- Instant Fail Triggers: the specific behaviours that end a station
- An examiner checklist mapped to how the station is marked
- Top 5 Examiner Questions with the curveball probes that follow
- Verbalisation scripts and Gold Closing Statements, word for word
- A per-chapter abbreviation guide
Then a full 18-station mock OSCE with candidate briefs, layered actor scripts, hidden information and marking schemes — followed by a model performance for every one of those eighteen stations, with self-audit checklists, examiner marking commentary, pass-strategy scripts for when a station goes wrong, and a seven-day final sprint plan.
Six further appendices cover OSCE timing maps, safeguarding and legal frameworks, NHS vocabulary, adapting to UK clinical culture, and condensed instant-fail and station summaries for last-minute revision.
Written for the UKMLA-era PLAB 2 OSCE and aligned to CPSA clinical skills standards. Every clinical statement has been reviewed and signed off by a practising physician.
Think Like an Examiner · Speak Like a Doctor · Perform With Confidence
