4¾"x7½" (12x19cm). 19 card panels in concertina format, opening out to over 3 metres; comprising decorated title-page and 20 captioned black-and-white views with pale olive-green & white borders, the final view 'The Great Fire, October 9, 1871'. Original red cloth. Front cover with title in black, decorations in black and gilt, and ruled borders in black; rear cover with blindstamped decorations and ruled border. Head and foot of backstrip and tips of outer corners of covers slightly rubbed. Binding holding firmly and of pleasing appearance, contents clean and crisp. VERY GOOD+ copy. Loosely inserted and all in fine condition:- monochrome photo illustration c1920, source unknown, of the Chicago Stock Yards featuring Armour and Company, and four unused colour picture postcards of Chicago c1935, three published by Chas. Levy Circulating Co. (No. 8, code 60771, Wacker Drive taken from Merchandise Mart looking South / No. 30, code 60793, Marshall Field & Co. Retail Store / No. 51, code 65892, illustrated Busy Person's Correspondence Card), the other published by J. O. Stoll Co. (No. 140, Wacker Drive and Chicago River by Night, in 'Curt Teich Art-Colortone'), each requiring One Cent stamp. Seller Inventory # 27538
