PERSPECTIVES is a remarkable collection of previously unpublished poems by Christopher Penfold, best known as the screenwriter and script editor behind celebrated productions including Space: 1999, The Tripods, and Midsomer Murders.
Discovered among Christopher Penfold’s papers following his passing, these poems reveal a deeply thoughtful and intimate literary voice shaped by history, mythology, love, war, memory, and the fragile continuities of civilization. Moving effortlessly between the personal and the historical, the domestic and the mythic, PERSPECTIVES explores what survives of human experience through time, art, and memory.
Compiled from Penfold’s own manuscript arrangement and presented here for the first time, this collection offers an extraordinary rediscovery: the private poetic voice behind one of television’s most intelligent and humane writers.
