Mobile phones and WIFI are a major part of our daily lives. But are they dangerous? Here the hazards of radiation are laid out with scientific evidence that even the most uninformed reader can understand.
We've all heard whispers that the 'bad cells' from essential gadgets like mobile phones may be a cause of brain cancer. But is it true? Back in 2011 the World Health Organization shocked the international community by announcing that radiation from phones is a possible carcinogen to humans. Which left many people wondering - as The New York Times once asked - are mobile phones the new cigarettes?
In OVERPOWERED, radiation expert Martin Blank brings us the science of electromagnetic fields (EMF) and their effects on health and the environment. Through accessible and engaging prose, we learn how radiation comes not only form mobile phones but from many other devices in our homes.
It is generally accepted that there should be a limit on public expose to EMF. But the large corporations who manufacture EMF-emitting products are keen to stop the whispers about radiation becoming a global shout. OVERPOWERED shows us how to take a cautionary stance against EMF by taking steps in our daily lives to reduce exposure.
A fascinating and timely book that arms us with all the information we need to keep ourselves and our families safe.
