An excellent narrative covers all the issues surrounding the planned invasion, what actually happened and why.
In addition there are some truly wonderful photos of some of the specialist equipment used in the landings, including some great sequences of some of the “Hobarts Funnies”.
About the Author: The historian Georges Bernage is one of France's premier experts on the 1944 Normandy Invasion. He has published over forty books on the subject since 1978.
