No date, but circa 1975, W.W. Weatherford (Heppner, Oregon), 8 3/8 x 11 inches tall stapled paperbound, copiously illustrated with black-and-white photographs, 38 pp. Slight soiling and moderate rubbing and edgewear to covers, with very slight tearing around staples. Otherwise, a very good copy - clean, bright and unmarked - of this uncommon memoir and eastern Oregon history. ~EE~ A memoir by lifelong eastern Oregon resident W.W. Weatherford, whose namesake grandfather (1844-1926) came to Oregon in 1861 as a barefoot boy of 17 driving oxen. Seller Inventory # EE-0171-7027

Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. 4to. (8.5 x 11") 38p. Illustrated with 17 black and white captioned photos. Stapled booklet in black and white photo pictorial wrappers with a photo of the Weatherford children on the front panel. Just touches of wear to extremities with the spine ever so slightly rubbed, a couple of small splatter stains on the rear wrapper, corners square and flat, no rust on the staples, all photos in fine condition, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. "OVER MY SHOULDER is an attempt to describe this country [eastern Oregon], the times, living conditions, and participants that were like pea pods on a vine and peas in a pod. Each alike, yet each different. It is a story I tried to get my father to write. My nephew, Earl Weatherford, started me writing this story."
