Print on Demand. This book concerns itself with the universe's origins and man's place within it. The author's views are based on ancient oriental philosophies that often form the basis for many of the world's religions. In exploring this esoteric philosophy, the book begins by explaining that to understand our place within the universe, we must first understand ourselves. As such, the book discusses the history of man and the universe by starting with the most abstract metaphysical ideas, gradually transitioning to more familiar concepts. The author posits that the universe is subject to a universal law of evolution that can be observed in the cycles of the natural world and within individual life. Because this eastern philosophy sees the universe as one of duality, all things exist in pairs, such as spirit and matter, thought and substance, or positive and negative. The author concludes that through these dualities and through our experiences within the natural world, we can come to understand our own nature and purpose. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

Brotherhood - the elder brothers of the Great Orphan Humanity - have preserved till now: the system which furnishes the key to every religion wherein is buried the truth about our nature and our destiny. And as a young servant of that great band of Silent Workers, the author has only followed in the steps of others who, like him, would wish the western nations to know them selves and to some extent the plan of that small por tion of Cosmos in which this little globe swings round the sun.
So, with whatever faults, many or few, this book may have, both the author and I are glad of its appearance, for we firmly believe that this is but once more the sounding the same call to our fellows that we helped to sound before in prior lives on this poor globe, the least significant of the seven. For if through this volume but three immortal pilgrims shall be turned to the light held out by the great Brothers, they will be three more gained for the Army of the Future.
