Some wear and rubbing along the edges and corners; modest blemishes on covers. Inner hinges good. Interior is clean and unmarked, printed on coated pages. Many black-and-white illustrations and some photographs. pp. iv + 492 [+122 pages of Monthly Records]. 9.5 x 7 inches. Six months of Outing Magazine bound into a single volume, presenting what was at the time manly pursuits: Athletics, Natural History, Sporting events, Travel, Hunting with a mix of fiction and poetry. Includes a retrospective article on Football by Walter Camp, widely recognized as the ''Father of American Football''. This book came from the Gloria Grace Griffen American West Collection at the University of Nevada-Reno, as identified by attractive bookplate (with cancel mark) affixed to the front pastedown. Griffen was a historian of the Great Basin and professor / lecturer at multiple noted universities.
