Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Rick Sternbach (illustrator). 1st Edition. Paperback original first edition, Ballantine Books #28485 with "First Edition: December 1981" on its copyright page. This lovely copy is in near fine condition, marred only by a shallow crease in its spine, traces of wear to cover edges, plus a very shallow bump on the right edge of the text block (causing a tiny edge wrinkle in 16 pages.) Its binding is tight and square, with no creases in the front or back hinges. Covers are bright, unmarked, and otherwise unworn. Pages are unmarked and otherwise unworn. As with all Space Age Book purchases, I will ship this book in a moisture proof zip-loc bag, padded in bubble wrap, inside a sturdy box to assure it reaches its new owner in the same condition as my description. Bibliographic note: versions of this edition were printed both in the USA and Canada, with no precedence between the two versions.
