About this Item
Original wraps 14x20cm. 237, (3)pp including b/w map. Very good, tanned, and inscribed to the title page. Dated Vienna, September 1957 to the Foreword, this describes Austrian trade with countries in the Middle East, recovery after the Suez Crisis, and identifies much scope for expansion. New oil wealth, notably in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia, is funding major development projects for irrigation, dams, drainage, drinking water, infrastructure, construction, industrialisation, land and forestry etc. These are almost exclusively offered by tender, are large scale, and may involve Austrian technicians. This book aims to encourage Austrians to do business in the region, providing advice about the countries, preparing offers, appointing representatives, conduct towards local business partners, data, foreign trade regulations, etc. In 1958 the Chamber started to issue this advice in country monographs.
