This practical and handy textbook provides an evidence‑based examination of the most challenging decision points in contemporary fracture care. Rather than revisiting established anatomy or operative technique, this volume focuses on areas of uncertainty—those “grey zones” where evidence is evolving, consensus is limited, and clinical judgment is critical. Current research is distilled into practical guidance, while highlighting unresolved questions that continue to shape trauma practice.
Organized by anatomical region and injury type, the book covers upper and lower limb fractures, pelvic and acetabular trauma, spine trauma, periarticular injuries, and complications. Each chapter adopts a clear question‑and‑answer format, addressing common clinical dilemmas through structured literature review and concluding with focused, actionable recommendations. Tables, figures, and algorithms support efficient comparison of treatment options and decision pathways.
Designed for orthopedic surgeons, fellows, and senior trainees, this book complements traditional trauma texts by providing targeted insight into the most debated and demanding aspects of orthopedic trauma care.
