Add to basketVintage photograph of producer and screenwriter Virginia Van Upp, circa 1946. With a printed mimeo snipe affixed to the verso, along with the stamp of National Film Archives. Van Upp began her career in Hollywood as a script reader and editor, gradually working her way up to become a screenwriter, agent, and casting director. At 43 she was named Executive Producer of Columbia Pictures, becoming one of the few woman producers in the film industry at the time. She was best known for producing and co-writing "Gilda" (1946). 8 x 10 inches. Very Good plus, lightly and evenly toned.
