Folio. Pp. [40; 40]. Unprinted heavy paper covers in printed dust jackets. Thirteen color plates of drawn colored lithographs printed recto following thirteen pages of historical & descriptive text, each volume. Dust jacket light stains, top edges bumped. Else fine. First published in 1842. This issue, the second from Traylen, is printed in seven-color offset lithography from Ektachrome photographs of the hand-colored lithograph set in the Guildhall Library, supposed to have been colored by Boys himself. Parallel texts by publisher Charles Ollier (1842) and art historian James Laver (1954.) A handsome, presentable set. Seller Inventory # 4842
