Softcover without dust jacket. Cover with bent lower corner and mild bumping noted to edge. Pages clean and bright. This book contains twenty-five selections of newspaper and pamphlet commentary about the second convention. Parts of the Constitution of 1818 survive in the state's present form of government. This makes the anthology useful to all students of Connecticut history and relevant to some enduring constitutional issues. The book complements the Connecticut State Library's volumes of State Records that contain the official proceedings of the Legislature and of the Constitutional Convention of 1818.
