A good hardback 2-volume set, but with a previous ownership name (in fountain pen) in the top right-hand corner of the front free endpaper of volume 2. There is also the very feint shadow of an old prencilled price in the top right-hand corner of the opening volume. Overall, though, this is a good 2-volume hardback set, which was issued in black glazed boards without dust jackets.
