Besides the millions of people each year who suffer head and brain injuries, there are many times more who have them and don't know it. The symptoms resemble so many things we can easily ignore - like headaches, ADD/ADHD, moodiness, depression, anxiety, PTSD, neck pain, nausea, clumsiness, brain fog, dementia, etc. - or that we can attribute to other causes, making them harder to follow up on. A concussive force can happen to the brain if you fall, play contact sports, or have a car accident, but unless you pass out or bleed, most likely everything else will get diagnosed and treated except what happened to your head. The consequences often show up much later when your inner resources are tapped out and you've forgotten the original incident(s).
I've had dozens of small head injuries and a few major ones that were overlooked until the 'game-changer' happened and couldn't be dismissed. I studied and tried everything I could think of to heal it and was then faced with healing all of them. I reached 80% resolution, but still had a couple of remaining symptoms and a vulnerability to exacerbation. I got to wondering why that vulnerability was still there. My body remembered everything and left tracks in my system that luckily could be followed like breadcrumbs to the kingpin. The kingpin was the area that registered most of the trauma in such a way that none of them could fully heal, because on the level of the nervous system, fascia fields, and other layers, they are inseparably interconnected. With what I've learned in the process of researching for this book, finally the kingpin is healing and that remaining 20% is resolving as well.
What I learned along the way is too significant not to share. So many discomforts and dysfunctions that turn into chronic issues can be renewed into greater ease, more freedom, less pain, deeper sleep, and happier days. I wanted everyone to know that there are many avenues these days for specific diagnoses, and detailed treatment protocols that are pretty simple and are a pleasure to follow because they feel so wonderful as they balance your system. There are several types of practitioners out there who can help jump start the process, and many things you can do on your own to continue the trajectory towards well-being and lasting peace of mind.

Suresha has worked as a holistic health practitioner for over 40 years. Starting out as a School Psychologist specializing in Systems Intervention and Prevention, the neurological deficits in children led her to study the body, neurophysiology, and neuromuscular reeducation. She's taught hands-on practices for over 25 years, given presentations to psychological associations, teachers, parents, and students of somatic education, and worked privately with clients in a variety of settings. Along the way, her own injuries from sports, martial arts, falls, and car accidents led to several head and brain traumas. Her studies then expanded into several additional hands-on modalities including Hanna Somatic Education, Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Osteopathy, and Brain Neurotherapy along with several meditation practices. After working in chiropractic offices and an orthopedic sports therapy clinic, she questioned whether some of the clients being treated for accidents and sports injuries also suffered from concussive forces through the neck and skull that may have healed more easily if the brain injury had also be treated. After an additional series of personal head traumas, her own symptoms began to become so intense as to greatly interfere with daily life responsibilities. At that point, every method available was tried until relief and restoration was on the way. So much learning took place in the process of relieving her own concussions, and so little information was available to the public about how to identify symptoms, diagnose, and treat the delicate brain, the inspiration arose to share what was learned over the last fifteen years of finding effective methods to heal.
