Printed card covers, 4to, pp.95. Illustrated. Translated, with an introduction by Stillman Drake. Published for The Burndy Library. Introduction pp9 - 33 precedes a 2pp bibliography, followed by facsimile of the original Italian title page of 1606 and facing it the translated version in English, and then the translated text with illustrations. An important and significant early step in the progress of the scientific transformation of Western society. Bright and clean copy but bottom text block has taken a bump resulting in light creasing to covers and text pages lower margins. VG.
