Gynecologic surgery demands mastery. One misjudged plane of dissection. One unrecognized vascular landmark. One moment of hesitation—and routine surgery becomes complex. Your preparation and knowledge determine whether patients recover smoothly or face preventable complications.
Whether you're a gynecologic surgeon refining your techniques, a resident learning operative gynecology, a fellow specializing in minimally invasive or oncologic surgery, a medical student preparing for surgical training, operating room nursing or surgical assistant staff, or any professional in the surgical environment—mastering operative gynecology is essential to patient safety and surgical excellence.
Yet most surgical references focus on procedures in isolation, divorced from anatomical reality, complication prevention, and the systematic thinking that defines safe surgery.
Operating Gynecology Procedure Handbook 2026 delivers exactly what operative gynecologists need.
This comprehensive guide combines detailed operative techniques with profound anatomical awareness, surgical decision-making frameworks, perioperative safety protocols, and realistic complication management grounded in decades of clinical experience.
What You'll Master:
- Pelvic Anatomy Excellence - Complete anatomical understanding critical for safe surgery, including variations and distorted anatomy
- Operative Hysteroscopy - Diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy including myomectomy, polyp removal, and septum resection
- Hysterectomy Mastery - Total abdominal (TAH), total laparoscopic (TLH), vaginal (TVH), and laparoscopically-assisted approaches
- Laparoscopic Surgery - Equipment, entry techniques, trocar placement, energy sources, and laparoscopic procedures
- Myomectomy Techniques - Abdominal, laparoscopic, and hysteroscopic fibroid removal with fertility preservation
- Ovarian Surgery - Cystectomy, oophorectomy, salpingo-oophorectomy, and ovarian preservation strategies
- Endometriosis Surgery - Peritoneal, deep, bowel, bladder, vaginal endometriosis excision with complication prevention
- Pelvic Floor Reconstruction - Prolapse repair, sacrocolpopexy, vaginal reconstruction, and continence procedures
- Perioperative Management - Patient selection, imaging interpretation, positioning, preparation, and recovery protocols
- Complication Prevention & Management - Recognition and treatment of infection, thrombosis, injury, and adverse outcomes
- 2026 Surgical Standards - Latest techniques, evidence-based approaches, minimally invasive innovations, and best practices
