Each chapter provides actionable recommendations tailored specifically to SMB constraints, helping you build a technology foundation that's affordable, manageable, and scalable without requiring a dedicated IT team.Beyond immediate savings, you'll discover how open source offers freedom from vendor lock-in, the ability to customize software to match your unique workflows, and access to a global community that drives rapid innovation and security improvements. You'll explore solutions for every critical business function: setting up secure communication with tools like Mattermost and Jitsi Meet, managing projects with OpenProject or Taiga, handling finances with Akaunting or InvoiceNinja, building your online presence with WordPress and WooCommerce, and protecting your business with enterprise-grade security tools like pfSense and Wazuh-all without recurring subscription costs. The book doesn't just theory; it provides a step-by-step migration process to minimize disruption, practical strategies for training your team on new systems, and guidance on finding reliable support through community resources or professional services.
