A tight-knit group of friends-Amalia, Theo, Reggie, and Mohammad-spend their days wrapped in laughter, quiet moments, and the small comfort of routines they believe will last forever. Between teasing, growing bonds, and an unspoken connection between Amalia and Theo, life feels simple in all the ways that matter. But everything changes in an instant.A tragic accident fractures their world, leaving Theo in critical condition and forcing each of them to face a reality they were never prepared for. As recovery begins, silence replaces laughter, distance replaces closeness, and choices are made that cannot be undone.Years later, a single train journey becomes the unexpected place where their paths cross again-forcing them to confront everything they lost, everything they became, and everything that never truly disappeared.Because some connections don't end. They just wait. She met the love of her life on a train. She lost him before she ever got to tell him how she felt.
Amalia never expected an ordinary commute to change her life forever. Somewhere between crowded platforms and window seats, she found Theo-and with him, an unforgettable group of friends who made even the smallest moments feel like home.
Then one tragic accident shattered everything.
As Theo fights to recover, memories fade, lives move on, and the future they imagined slips further out of reach.
Years later, another train journey brings them face to face with everything they left behind.
Because some people leave your life.
Others never truly leave your heart.
E.S.A Pathan is a young fantasy author who has been telling stories since before she could properly read-first through pictures, then through words, and eventually through entire worlds. She began working on her debut novel on December 26, 2024. The story was originally titled Elyndor's Chosen, but after 17 days of writing and reimagining, it evolved into The Price of Forever, an emotionally driven fantasy that grew alongside her as a writer.
Her work blends magic, mystery, loyalty, and sacrifice, with a strong focus on characters and the bonds that shape them. Set across both magical and non-magical worlds, her stories explore belonging, identity, and the quiet strength found in love and friendship.
When she isn't writing, she runs a YouTube channel where she shares creative and bookish content, connects with readers, and expresses her love for storytelling in different forms. She also enjoys crocheting-often creating while imagining new scenes and characters. Through her work, she hopes to give readers a place to escape, feel deeply, and believe that magic still exists.
