In this retelling of a classic story, we find ourselves once again curled up by the fire on Christmas Eve reading the story about the night before Christmas. This particular Christmas Eve a fathers children ask for a new story, asking their father to share with them the story of truth, of love, of the ultimate gift, a story they've only heard pieces of from others. The message learned is clear, and told in a loving way by father that could be any parent around the world. Within the pages of David N Brodmann's book we find ourselves not only being entertained by a wonderful story and it’s illustrations, but also being challenged by the most important of all questions, "Do you believe?" Illustrated to capture the hearts of children, you realize however, it's a story for all ages both young and old, challenging all to search their own hearts while going back to a night that would forever change the world, a night that took place..."Once Upon a Promise." A new classic to be read and shared for generations to come; its truths and message are not just to be shared at Christmas; told in a beautiful and delightful way.
