About this Item
Regarded as the first book published on Ley lines, this is the seemingly scarce 1980 reprint of Watkins' classic. Watkins sought to prove that "mounds, moats, beacons and markstones fall into strait tracks, i.e. sighted lines, throughout Britain, with fragmentary evidence of trackways on the alignments." Out of favour for years, his theories have become popular again since the rekindling of New Age interests since the 1960s. A really nice copy. Pages are essentially Fine, bright and clear with no markings at all. Probably unread and thus scarce. See our photos which are all of the actual copy for sale. DJ is unclipped, and generally clean and bright. There is some minor edge wear at the top, along with Avery small closed tear, and a few areas of sensitively done repairs at the rear and spine base (see photos) along with minor creasing. 234pp, many illustrations. Now in a clear removable professional cover. Seller Inventory # 2480
