Neuware - Old Debts is Book 2 in The Doss Files, a dry-witted espionage series for readers who like their spies underestimated, their institutions rotten, and their partnerships earned the hard way. Six weeks after closing the case that cost him everything and gave it back, Frank Doss has a real partner, a real desk, and exactly six weeks of quiet before it ends. When retired diplomat Daniel Ferris turns up dead in a staged accident, Frank and Sarah Coleman discover he was one of four names on a list they thought they'd finally protected. Ferris left behind something his son never knew existed: a decade of quiet, solitary evidence that the network they exposed was never just one case - it was one thread of something considerably older, and it never stopped working. Complicating everything is Marcus Whitfield, the disgraced deputy director now working for a private consultancy with resources neither Frank nor Sarah can access through official channels - and access to places he has no business being in. Trusting him could crack the case wide open. Trusting him could also be exactly what's got them killed. As the investigation closes in on a records facility built to erase eleven years of buried secrets in a single, coordinated reset, Frank and Sarah discover the woman actually running the network they've been chasing - and that she has known Frank's name for fifteen years longer than he's known hers. Everyone wrote him off. That's exactly how he likes it. The Doss Files follows Frank Doss and Sarah Coleman as they take on the cases nobody else wants - each one self-contained, each one another thread in a network neither of them has fully mapped yet.…
