factory sealed out of print paperback, inquire for photos --- An English-language edition of the Japanese art book documenting the production of Capcom's Okami, retaining the original right-to-left format. Across 288 full-colour pages, the volume gathers character and environment concept art, preparatory sketches, storyboards, and discarded pre-production designs alongside promotional images, with commentary and production notes from the development team. Captions accompany the artwork throughout, and character sections carry short introductions. The book draws on the visual language of Japanese watercolour and Ukiyo-e wood-block printing that shaped the game itself, and includes a suite of paintings framed as the work of Issun, the Celestial Envoy who travels with Amaterasu, as well as music sheets at the close of the volume. Contributing artists named on the book include Mari Shimazaki, Sawaki Takeyasu, and Kenichiro Yoshimura.
