Add to basketA charming small booklet in good condition published in 1892 offering an official guide to Gustave Eiffel's 300m tower built for the 1889 World's Fair. Green illustrated card wrappers cleanly detached both front and rear from the text block of the booklet. A little browned to edges, slight nick to top right front corner. Internally leaves are in very good condition, a little browned, small creases to page tops running from p.21- p.43 which do not affect the text. 64 pp. collated and complete. 14 b/w beautifully detailed illustrations throughout interwoven around a preface written by Jules Simon. Contents include a description of the tower's construction, a detailed guide to making the ascension, contemporary advertisements, train and travel options and station timetables. 9.5cm x 14.5cm.
