A very good copy of the George Bell and Sons hard cover edition (part of of Bohn's Classical Library), lacking a dust-jacket. Previous owner's name stampred (twice) to front free endpaper, with a numeral circled as well; number 23323 stamped to title page and rear free endpaper; else the text is wholly unmarked, pristine, and the binding and jacket remarkably bright in appearance, with a 1/4" tear at the top of the spine. Gutters are solid, with the merest hint of crackin to a portion of the front gutter. Binding is solid. A beautiful copy. [ Please note: This is NOT an ex-library copy. ].
