Synopsis:

A little boy finds himself waiting for his mom, who is busy with his younger sibling and her chores, again. “I'm sick of being patient,” he pouts, and he begins to imagine what life would be like if Mom could ignore her other responsibilities and give him her undivided attention. What if his mom had, say, eight hands rather than two? Suddenly, he wishes for a magical, mysterious transformation, and “An Octopus Named Mom” makes her debut. About the Author: Kathleen Flaherty lives in Millis, Massachusetts, with her husband and their four children. She is a graduate of Johnson and Wales University and has worked with children for over 17 years. Kathleen grew up spending her summers on Hog Island, Rhode Island, and now continues that tradition with her family where she enjoys boating, gardening, writing, reading, and cooking. She uses the island as a classroom to teach her children to be one with nature.
