Paperback. "Imagine if there were eight of you. Do you think you could stay on the straight and narrow or would you suffer from ambition runaway and get into mischief?" Following the heart wrenching loss of his wife and childhood sweetheart senior homicide detective Henry Gordon's life began to slowly unravel. Forlorn and alone he was drifting further and further into siege both by his superiors' perception of him and by the younger officers' offhand attitude to his methodical tradecraft, that had, in the past, consistently yielded successful prosecution of offenders. Suddenly his existence was turned upside down when he undertook the investigation of the apparent murder of a beautiful blonde woman. That led him to interview her associate Tracey DeLacy who introduced him to a world of astonishing wealth, power, sensuality and high technology. In the ensuing avalanche of mysteries to be solved, wild adventures to survive and encounters both romantic and erotic, our hero also finds himself in mortal conflict with a group of supremely attractive cloned women who, apart from harbouring their own dark secrets, control a web of corporations that span the entire world. Even though they are a generation apart, Henry Gordon and Tracey DeLacy also discover that grand passion does not respect the artificial boundary between a modern liberated woman and a plodding public servant who never quite relinquishes his vision of normality. Where that will take them after the dust settles is anybody's guess! This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
