The Picture...
Miss Robinson shut the front door of her little house behind her and dashed quickly down the front path towards her car. She had long dark hair and a very young looking face for a teacher, and she wore a very smart suit. Her high heels went click, click, click down the path as she ran. She glanced at her watch. She was slightly late. Miss Robinson was very organised and very confident. She was a teacher at a little school in the next town, near the sea front. She had been teaching now for a number of years. There was no classroom she couldn't manage, no child she couldn't bring into line and no situation she couldn't handle. She smiled to herself... after all she was the perfect teacher. I don't want you to get the impression she was a horrible teacher... in fact she was very kind. But she was single minded and determined. Her pupils would be the best. They would learn all she could teach them... they would excel in all areas. She took out her car keys and beeped the doors of her little yellow sports car. The lights flashed once to indicate the car was now unlocked. She looked up at the sky. Another nice day, she thought, perfect. She pulled back the soft-top of the car so the roof was open, put on her wrap around sunglasses and climbed in. She turned the music up to full volume, revved the engine and drove speedily out of the driveway.
Miss Robinson didn't realise that today was going to be different. Today was the beginning. The beginning of what, you're wondering? Well who would think that the perfect teacher's life could be turned upside down by one little girl, and a rather shy little girl at that. It all started with the picture...
