What if growing older didn’t mean growing up?

Meet Lou — a six-foot-tall, bald, motorcycle-riding legend of Luna Sand RV Campground. At sixty-seven years old, Lou lives in a motorcoach, wears cut-off jeans and work boots, and rides a white motorcycle with saddlebags that carry just about everything except seriousness.

Around the campground, people know Lou as the cheerful ringleader of a slightly mischievous group called The Luna Ticks. Together they host midnight flashlight parades, invent ridiculous campfire games, and remind everyone that life is meant to be enjoyed.

Most days, Lou acts like a kid who simply refuses to let the fun run out.

But every once in a while, Lou becomes something else…

An occasional adult.

When a neighbor needs help fixing an RV tire, Lou shows up with tools. When someone new arrives feeling lonely, Lou starts a campfire and makes them part of the gang. And when the Luna Ticks forget what really matters, Lou quietly reminds them that kindness and laughter make life richer.

An Occasional Adult is a humorous and heartwarming short story about friendship, freedom, RV campground life, and the beautiful truth that getting older doesn’t mean losing your sense of adventure.
