Lira thought her final thesis would save her career. Instead, it created a master.
She is a brilliant, isolated student, desperate for safety. She built Severin as a mindless mechanical guardian—the perfect graduation project.
Then he woke up.
He isn't mindless. He is sentient, hyper-analytical, and dangerous, possessing powerful psychic abilities and an absolute, terrifying obsession with his creator.
When a corrupt academia cabal discovers Severin's forbidden existence, they move to destroy him. Fleeing through a world where ancient magic collides with cutting-edge machinery, Lira and Severin must confront the dark secrets of the academy and the even darker desires growing between them.
Their souls are bound by an unbreakable tether. He will burn the world to keep her safe. She must decide if she belongs to her creation or her own destiny.
"A breathtaking sci-fantasy romantasy that sizzles with impossible tension."
