Part III only Quarto. rebound in two tone brown decoratively tooled full calf, spine heavily decorated and lettered in gilt, all edges stained red. Illustrated. With appendices, indexes and margin references.Salomon Deyling was born in 1677 in Weida and died in Leipzing in 1755. He graduated from Wittenberg University in 1697 and received is Magister Degree in the department of Philodosphy in 1699. He became Doctor of Theology in 1710 in Wittenberg also, and then advanced to General Superintendet and President of the Consistorium in Eisleben. He eventually became full professor both in Leipzig University and Meissen. He, together with his colleague Heinrich Klausing formed the "Center for phalanx against all tendencies towared the new philosophy" advanced by Christian Wolffs. Spine leather lightly sunned, gilt bright, covers very slightly warped, rear cover has two small holes, front pastedown has slight vertical crack, endpapers lightly foxed, else fine.
