This is a four page publication, from the acting trustees of Ramsgate Harbour, that summarises the development of the harbour, with John Smeatons assistance, and seeks support for amendments to the appropriate acts of parliament in order to complete it. The trustees have extended an advanced pier from the East Head in order to improve the harbour to permit a safer refuge for ships in distress. There is also an annual, and increasing, count of ships that have taken shelter from 1780 to 1791. An uncommon publication of 4 pages with one copy in the UK and one copy in the USA. Slightly dusty but generally in very good condition with three horizontal fold marks. ESTC citation T74422. Seller Inventory # 001230
