The covenant between worlds has fractured and the land is beginning to register the cost. From high sanctums to canal-latticed plains, from jewelled mazes of desire to drought-choked ruins, OBLATIO follows lovers, pilgrims, shamans, and rebels through an alchemical arc of illumination, breakdown, and rectification - visionary fiction with mythic depth, and a pulse of sacred geometry close beneath the prose. This debut novel invites you deep into the mythic ecology of symbols, architectures, water and light, strange attractors of grief and renewal. An ancient-future fantasy, OBLATIO is a multi-strata story of ecological, civilizational, and psychic rupture, adaptation, and renewal. Two realms. One river. A sacred offering that keeps them alive.High in the terraced mountain-city of Sehulom, the headwaters are more than water - they are revelation. Far below, the golden plains of Alibraria feed nations, but only because snowmelt from Sehulom's peaks turns dust into harvest. To prevent the old wars from returning, the realms renew an ancient pact through a once-in-a-generation rite: the Oblatio, a consecrated exchange-grain offered to the source, and the river released back to the fields. Water for grain. Gift for gift. Cycle made sacred. When Tristanna, Sehulom's young queen, and Kohan, Alibraria's pilgrim prince, step into the ritual together, they glimpse a truth: the realms were never meant to dominate one another but to remain alive through reciprocity. They try to weave a new symbol for a new future. And the world strikes back.Conspiracy ignites the powder-keg. An esoteric elect hardens tradition into purity doctrine. A warlord turns humiliation into holy vengeance. And at the very source of the river, Sehulom raises a dam - hoarding the Gift, starving the lowlands, and transforming a covenant into a weapon. As drought spreads and cities fracture, the survivors are forced into a journey through ruin and metamorphosis-toward sunlit relics, drowned underworld currents, and liminal peoples who may carry the next world in their hands.OBLATIO is a mythic, lyrical fantasy of sacred ecology, psychedelic visions, political betrayal, set within the deep time of a palpable ancient world. In this book you'll find: Archeo-futurist civilisations with magic rooted in symbol, language, and cosmologyOutcasts and idealists reshaping the fate of their realmsTheocratic power, and war born from griefEco-mythic stakes: water, harvest, and the consequences of controlA wondrous descent into metamorphosis and a hard-won, luminous horizonFor readers who love: mythic fantasy, metamodernism, psychedelia, shamanism, ancient futures, grand scenes, worldbuilding, symbolism, and epics where ecology and psychology are inseparable. “Without vision, the people perish.”
In an archaic world where water and grain is sacred and cities are built from hierarchies of belief, an ancient covenant binds two realms in reciprocal exchange - until the structures meant to hold life begin to fall apart. The covenant between worlds has fractured and the land is beginning to register the cost.
