Includes pictorial tissue DJ and sealed pressed flowers. Final issue of Jon and Lou Webb's legendary literary journal, the first three issues of which were published in the New Orleans. Contents include works by Charles Plymell, Kenneth Patchen, Charles Bukowski, William Wantling, Diane Di Prima, Denise Levertov, Thomas Merton, Harold Norse, Larry Eigner, Ted Enslin, and many others. Loujon Press was an important, avant-garde letterpress printing operation founded by Jon and Gypsy Lou Webb in the 1960s. Based in New Orleans, the press was known for its high-quality, labor-intensive editions of underground poetry and prose and early works by writers such as Charles Bukowski and Henry Miller. Pictorial paper-covered boards with black titling to spine. Light foxing to tissue guard at page 83; otherwise, pages and art are clean and unmarked. Residue likely from previous tape to pastedowns, but endpapers are otherwise clean and unmarked. Text block has light scuffing to lower edge, but is otherwise clean and unmarked. Boards are clean and bright with heavy bumping to top corners and light bumping to lower corners, bumping to ends of spine, and dampstain to lower end of spine. Binding is tight, spine is slightly cocked. Tissue dust jacket is clean with heavy tearing to spine particularly to center, heacy tearing to corners and light to moderate tearing to fold of flaps, and open tear to top corner of rear cover.
