Legatura coeva in piena pergamena rigida, dorso con fregio e titolo manoscritti sovrapposti a precedenti. (4)- 255- 600 - (382) pagine numerate. Testo in lingua latina, con richiami a margine recanti i riferimenti scritturali; capilettera silografati, in buona parte decorati a racemi. L`opera, indicata al frontespizio come \"seconda edizione romana\", comprende le opere di san Gregorio I papa detto il Magno, dottore della Chiesa. E` il solo primo volume dei 4 pubblcati fra il 1608 e 1613. L`opera � preceduta dalla Vita di San Gregorio. Esemplare in discreto stato conservativo,ampia lacuna risarcita all`angolo inferiore del frontespizio con tracce di sporco emala collatura alla carta di guardia del medesimo, lieve gora all`angolo inferiore interni di praticamente tutto il volume. Solo il primo volume dei 4 pubblicati tra il 1608 e 1613 In-8� (mm180xmm120).
