First Thus - with this adaptation and illustrations. Stated as First Edition and with "1" in the number line on copy right page. Classic Christmas story is profusely illustrated with Kay Chorao's charming, sweet B&W drawings. Green colored cloth covers are clean and unmarred except for sunning along edges. Gilded title on spine is very shiny and bright. Very light shelf wear along edges. Binding is tight. DJ is colorful but has carried the brunt of wear for this book. DJ has closed tears, is rubbed and lightly soiled. DJ is price-clipped and is now in a mylar jacket. Interior pages clean and bright - no tears, creases or writing, except for a long inscription on FEP. End papers are starting to fade as well. This is NOT an ex-lib nor a remainder. Note: We have a closed shop - so our books are not handled by public. We make every effort to fairly describe the condition of the book and identify any flaws (writing, tears, creases, folds), including that of the dust jacket. We use the "Fine or Near Fine" book condition judiciously when grading of the book or dust jacket.…
