Two small questions a day. Three minutes. Ninety days to see the good that was always there.
You do not need to be broken to begin. You do not need to be ready, or to be "a writer", or to have a plan. You only need to pause once a day and answer two questions: What was one good thing that happened today? And what was one good thing about you?
The Noticing Practice is a guided gratitude journal built around a single daily habit. One question looks outward, at your day. One looks inward, at who you were while you lived it. Most gratitude journals only ask the first. This one trains both, because what you notice grows.
What is inside
- 90 daily pages, each with the two questions and space to write
- A weekly review every seven days to read your week back
- A checkpoint every 21 days to see how far you have come
- Day 90: The Full Circle, a closing reflection on what you will carry forward
- An undated format, so you can start on any day of the year
Why it works
The practice rests on what researchers have already measured: gratitude is linked with better sleep, lower stress, fewer symptoms of low mood, and lasting changes in how the brain responds to what is good. Ninety days is not a random number. It clears the average time a habit needs to settle, with room to spare.
This book is for you if life feels like it is moving too fast to actually live it, if you are going through something hard and need a reason to notice what is still good, if you want to work on yourself but do not know where to start, or if you have tried journaling before and felt you were doing it wrong. There is no wrong way to do this.
Written by Federica Caimi, who began journaling at sixteen after losing her mother, and who spent years believing she was not a writer. This book started as a gift to her younger self.
A meaningful gift for a birthday, Christmas, a new beginning, or a hard season. For anyone starting therapy, healing, or simply trying to be more present.
Something good happened today. You just have not written it down yet.
Start today. One good thing at a time.
