Octavo/8vo, measures around 9" by 6" by 1 1/4". Black cloth binding, gilt lettering to spine. Some marking and scuffing to binding. Signs of wear, rubbing on hingers, rubbing and tearing at corners, which are also bumped. Binding firm. Inner hinges have been repaired at some stage, with pastedowns and endpapers replaced. Page edges deckled, neatly opened. Edges also browned, scuffed and a bit marked. Previous owner name and date inscription on title page. Some pencil lining in margins and the odd other mark to page surfaces. See pictures for further information. iv + 476 pp.
