Print on Demand. This book explores the time frames for tooth eruption in children under twelve years of age. The research was conducted by examining nearly two thousand new patients at the Hospital for Sick Children in London over five years. Using five stages to determine the eruption process, the authors recorded their findings, including carious teeth, inflammation, glandular enlargements, and the children’s general health. The authors determined that the eruption process is not solely due to vertical tissue growth around the tooth but also due to denudation of the overlying gum tissue. The book includes percentage tables and charts to illustrate the research findings and provides a valuable resource for dentists and researchers interested in pediatric dentistry. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.…

Our investigation into the dates of eruption of teeth has been con ducted at the Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street, upon all the children who have attended the Dental Department during a period of about five years. The age-limit of children attending the Hospital did not permit us to extend our investigation beyond the age of 12, when attendance automatically ceases. Nearly new patients were examined, of whom showed permanent teeth present or erupting, and upon which our data are based.
