Notes on the Cathedrals (2 volumes) Published by Photochrom Co., Ltd., London Undated, though published circa early 1900?s (one of the volumes has a name and date October 03). Both volumes are in good condition. Half-bound leather with marbled boards. Raised bands on the spines. The spines, the boards, and the top-edges are gilt, with some rubbing wear, and a small tear on one cover, some foxing at ends with some sign of a stain at the end of volume 1. Otherwise, clean, tight, and bright. These two small volumes filled have text concerning the cathedrals of Britain, illustrated with numerous highly detailed half-tone engravings by the Photochrom company of London. 28 cathedrals covered. Volume 1; Iona, Canterbury, St Paul?s, Winchester, Gloucester, Lichfield, Salisbury, Durham, Exeter, Peterborough, Norwich, St Albans, Rochester, Ely and Worcester Volume 2; Wells, Bristol, Oxford, Carlisle, York, Chester, Ripon, Hereford, Newcastle, Lincoln, Chichester, St Asaph and Manchester.
