Thick octavo with half red leather stamped and printed in gilt, and half oatmeal buckram with a central red printed design. The leather spine is dry and cracking a couple of small chips at the spine ends. The buckram covered boards are slightly edge tanned. Red top edge and endpapers. The book is tightly bound, square and unmarked. Arranged and translated with an introduction by Edward MacCurdy. The first one volume U.S. edition, sparsely illustrated with eight one-sided full page prints. 1,247 pp. Art, Science, History, DaVinci, Journals, Notebooks, Inventions. Size: 8vo - over 7�" - 9�" tall.
