Von Werner Haftmann als dramatische Ikone hervorgehoben (Vgl. Haftmann, Holzschnitte von Emil Nolde, Bremen 1947). - Einer von reichlich 20 Abzügen. - Satter kontrastreicher Druck, mit deutlichen Reibespuren und starkem Relief auf der Rückseite. Papier mit leichten Altersspuren und wenigen Fleckchen. Verso Reste einer ehemaligen Montierung. Fachgerecht im Passepartout montiert. Insgesamt guter Erhaltungszustand.Emil Nolde (1867 Nolde in Schleswig-Holstein - 1956 Seebüll). Deutscher Maler und Grafiker. Hauptvertreter des deutschen Expressionismus. 1884-88 Lehre als Schnitzer und Möbelzeichner in Flensburg. 1888 tätig in München und Karlsruhe, Abendkurse an der Kunstgewerbeschule ebenda. 1889 in einer Berliner Möbelwerkstatt. 1892 Lehrer für ornamentales Zeichnen und Modellieren an der Kunstgewerbeschule in St. Gallen. Der Erfolg den er mit ersten Landschaftsaquarellen und Zeichnungen hat, ermöglicht es ihm, als freischaffender Maler zu leben. 1898 Ablehnung an der Münchener Akademie durch Franz von Stuck. 1899 Besuch der Académie Julian in Paris. 1901 Umzug nach Berlin, Mitglied der Berliner Secession. 1906 Ausstellung in der Galerie Arnold in Dresden. Mitglied der Künstlergruppe Die Brücke. 1911 werden seine Bilder von der Berliner Secession abgewiesen, worauf hin sein Austritt erfolgt und er in die Neue Secession eintritt. 1912 Bekanntschaft mit Alexej Jawlensky. 1913/14 Expedition nach Neu-Guinea. 1926 Übersiedlung nach Seebüll. 1931 Mitglied der Preußischen Akademie der Künste und Erscheinen der ersten Autobiografie Das eigene Leben. 1937 werden seine Arbeiten als entartete Kunst diffamiert. 1941 Malverbot. Es entstehen kleinformatige Aquarelle, die sogenannten ungemalten Bilder. 1952 Berufung in die Friedensklasse des Ordens Pour le Mérite. 31,8 x 22,5 cm (Darstellung / Druckstock), 38 x 29 cm (Blatt), 60 x 50 cm (Passepartout).

Statutory Right to cancel
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us, GALERIE HIMMEL, Obergraben 8, 01097, Dresden, Germany, +49 0351-4843578, of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory. You can also electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel with contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
