One of the happiest tales of the social downlift since November 1968 - for all its humor a mvoing picture of people who many will recognize i their own image and care for. Stated first but no price on the DJ, but no BCE blind stamp either. Some wear on the edges of the boards. A very good copy.

You are not alone. There are others who feel it too.
There’s Sanford Campbell, investment broker, ex-vice-president of The Bank Street Fund. There’s Jack Carmody, ex-account executive in charge of cigarette advertising on TV. There’s Harry Price, star of stage, screen, and radio, caught in the Hollywood studio squeeze. There’s Sam Deitsch, dress manufacturer, one of the really big investors in the ill-fated midi.
All live in Southport, snobbiest town in Fairfield County, Connecticut, fabled Land of Milk and Honey and, lately, Unemployment Checks. All have the usual entanglements of wives and children and mortgages and private schools and the kind of lifestyle to which so many of us would like to become accustomed. All are facing financial catastrophe, each in his own way.
But Sanford Campbell is not a man to face financial catastrophe without fighting back, which is what leads him to announce to Messrs Carmody, Price, and Deitsch one beautiful spring day, after a rather tortured introduction: “What propose, gentlemen, is that the four of us join forces and rob the Vista bank.” They do, and what happens becomes one of the happiest tales of social down-lift since November 1968. It is, for all its humour, a moving picture of people in whom many will recognise their own images – and for whom one can care.
