Paperback. Ninety Tiny Windows is a collection of flash and microfiction that invites readers to pause, look closer, and step briefly into other lives. Each short piece is a small opening-a window-through which moments of beauty, strangeness, humour, grief, and quiet revelation can be glimpsed. These stories range from only a few sentences to a handful of pages, yet each is complete in itself, capturing a single instant, thought, or turning point. Some pieces feel intimate and familiar, rooted in everyday experiences; others lean toward the surreal or unexpected, offering fresh angles on memory, relationships, time, and identity. Together, they form a mosaic of human moments-fleeting, vivid, and resonant.Written with precision and economy of words, Ninety Tiny Windows celebrates what very short fiction does best: saying more with less. The collection rewards slow reading and rereading, inviting the reader to linger over language, implication, and silence as much as plot. The stories can be read in one sitting or dipped into at random, making the book ideal for readers who appreciate literary fiction in compact, concentrated form. This collection will appeal to readers of contemporary literary fiction, short stories, and experimental or minimalist writing, as well as writers interested in the craft of flash and micro fiction. Thoughtful, accessible, and quietly inventive, Ninety Tiny Windows demonstrates how even the briefest narratives can open onto larger emotional and imaginative landscapes. Ninety Tiny Windows is a captivating collection of flash and micro fiction that invites you to pause, peer closer, and see the extraordinary hiding inside the everyday. Each brief story is a window, some strange, some beautiful, some unsettling. Opening onto moments where reality bends, imagination takes hold. This item is printed on demand. Ninety Tiny Windows is a captivating collection of flash and micro fiction that invites you to pause, peer closer, and see the extraordinary hiding inside the everyday.
Each brief story is a window — some strange, some beautiful, some unsettling — opening onto moments where reality bends, imagination takes hold, and the familiar becomes quietly uncanny. A chance encounter. A whisper of something impossible. A glimpse into lives that feel both distant and deeply known.
Within these pages you’ll find:
• Surreal twists and dreamlike encounters
• Fleeting moments of wonder, humour, and unease
• Tiny narratives that linger long after they end
• Worlds revealed in just a handful of words
Perfect for readers who love imaginative storytelling in small, powerful doses, this collection proves that a story doesn’t need many pages to leave a lasting mark.
Open a window.
Look inside.
You may never see things quite the same way again.
