Uncolored map which appears as the center spread of a 16 pp. newspaper entitled the Spirit of Arkansas. This issue is Vol. VII, No. 29, for September 12, 1878. Rubber stamps from railroad agents in Cincinnati and Swan Creek, Ohio. The text provides wonderful promotional material for Arkansas in the late 19th century. This promotion was in fact a periodical which was issued regularly, with issues having different content, though all contained the same map of Arkansas at the middle.
